Mike Meadows is a producer, songwriter and multi-instrumentalist, based in Austin,TX. He is an award winning drummer and percussionist and plays the Farmer DownBeat regularly. Originally from Atlanta, GA, Mike has been playing music since age three. From Classical & Jazz to Rock & World Music he’s seen it all (and played some of it too). His greatest passion is performing, creating, and recording a variety of musical styles all around the world. He has played with countless artists and travels extensively with artists including: Ben Kweller, Hayes Carll, porterdavis, Jenn Grant, John Fullbright, Sam Baker, Kris Kristofferson, and Shawn Colvin.
In 2009 he had the good fortune of receiving the Austin Music Award for Best Drummer/Percussionist. Quite an honor in a city that’s known for it’s great musicians and rich musical history!
